TigerLynk Technology was first developed in the late 1990's as a harvesting solution for the underwater forest industry. In 1999, a new remote operated machine called the Aquatic Timber Harvester (ATH) was introduced. The ATH featured a 60-ft long Robotic Manipulator and Tool designed for cutting large-diameter timber standing in lakes and reservoirs.
The ATH was proven successful in commercial operations at Turcurui Reservoir in the Para State of Brazil. Hailed as a major technological innovation, the ATH was widely regarded as the industry's first proven commercial machine. This patented technology was later renamed TigerLynk.
In 2008, Hollund Industrial, Inc. acquired the patents to TigerLynk Technology with plans to develop a Next-generation machine system that promises to redefine the marine industry. Stay tuned for more exciting news and developments on TigerLynk.
